Greek Democratic Governor Theophanis Demoshakis met over brunch at the Olympia Diner in Gowanda with Nancy Bargar, State Senate candidate, to discuss politics. Mr. Demoshakis is one of five governors from the state of Evrou, an area east of Greece along the Turkish border. He represents the voice of 150,000 constituents. On his first visit to the U.S., he is visiting his family, among them cousins Sam and Demetri Tsirtsakis, owners of the Olympia Diner in Gowanda and Demetri's Family Restaurant in Irving.
