Give salute to veterans

September 17, 2012
The OBSERVER

Editor, OBSERVER:

Let's give thanks to veteran groups such as the VFW Posts, American Legion Posts and many other veteran organizations and individuals who do a patriotic, selfless act every year of putting American flags on the graves of our fallen veterans in local cemeteries.

So a big thank you goes out to these veteran groups because of their efforts every year, each fallen soldier is honored with a U.S. Flag to recognize and respect their years of military service and their allegiance to the United States of America.

These are the answers to the questions I have been asked, as to how nice the American flags look when driving by a cemetery, how they got there. This article may enlighten others who don't know how the flags got there.

SAM PATERNOSH,

Falconer
