The Dunkirk boys' soccer team picked up its first win of the season Tuesday, as the Marauders (1-4, 1-1) dropped Falconer (0-6, 0-2), 3-0, at Karl Hoeppner Field.
"We started playing the system we've been working on," Dunkirk head coach Brian Crawford said. "We really moved the ball well, we were patient and we took what Falconer gave us."
Tito Rojas scored the game's first goal on an assist from Alec Tomaszewski in the 11th minute of the first half, before Nelmy Robles gave the Marauders a 2-0 lead in the 36th minute on an assist from Alex Crossan.

"We wanted to move the ball and get more shots," Crawford said. "We just missed on a couple more. I'm very pleased with the way we moved the ball and worked for the whole 80 minutes."
Zack Meadows added the icing on the cake in the 30th minute of the second half, getting an assist from Jesus Rojas on the play.
"It was just a great team effort," Crawford said. "It's one of those games where you see that the team has the ability to take the bull by the horns. They played a very controlled game and played the way I have expected them to the whole season."
Nick Kobel made four saves in net for the Marauders while Trevor Dykstra stopped eight shots for the Golden Falcons.
Dunkirk next travels to Olean on Thursday.

Silver Creek 1, Catt. LV 0
SILVER CREEK - Dan Sweetman made 12 saves and Evan Ward scored the game's lone goal as the Silver Creek Black Knights (2-3-1, 2-1-1) blanked Cattaraugus-Little Valley (3-2, 2-1), 1-0, Tuesday in CCAA Division 2 boys' high school soccer.
Ward's goal came at the 18-minute mark as he was Johnny on the Spot and directed the ball into the net with his chest.
"He is a young kid," Silver Creek coach Eric Johengen said of Ward. "He has a burst. He has another gear. When he gets into the open, he can be a dangerous player. He is aggressive and he goes hard all the time."
The Timberwolves took 13 shots in the second half - not all of them were on net, but the ones that were, Sweetman was there for the save.
"I thought Dan played outstanding," Johengen said. 'It was his first game in net all year long. He was in the right spot at the right time making the right play throughout the game. To his credit, he was a big part of us winning that game."
Silver Creek returns to action Thursday to take on league-leader Randolph.

WEST VALLEY - Justin Andriaccio scored a goal and added an assist as the Chautauqua Lake Thunderbirds (2-4, 2-3) blanked the West Valley Panthers (3-3, 2-3), 2-0, Tuesday in CCAA Division 3 boys' high school soccer.
Jake Andriaccio put the Thunderbirds on the board in the 60th minute off a feed from Justin Andriaccio.
Justin Andriaccio gave Chautauqua Lake an insurance goal 12 minutes later. Adam Cummins was credited with the assist.
Ryan Linnecke made five saves in the first half, and James Lagimer preserved the shutout with six saves in the second half.
North Collins 2, Ellicottville 0
NORTH COLLINS - Kyle Loretto made six saves to earn his fourth shutout of the season as the North Collins Eagles (4-1) shut out the Ellicottville Eagles, (2-2), 2-0, Tuesday in CCAA Division 3 boys' high school soccer.
Jared Keppel opened the scoring just 40 seconds into the game as Jordan Keough was credited with the assist.
In the second half, Cody Feltz made the score 2-0. Keough again had the assist.
North Collins returns to action Thursday at Franklinville.
