Kenton M. Koerselman

Kenton M. "Ken" Koerselman, 65, of 731 Clymer-Sherman Rd. Clymer, died September 17, 2012 at the VA Medical Center, in Erie, PA.

He was born December 14, 1946, in Corry, PA., the son of the late Harry J. and Lena Groters Koerselman.

Ken was a graduate of Clymer Central School.

After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1970, having served in the Vietnam War.

He was a Commander of the Damcott Jones Post #874 American Legion, and served as Chautauqua County Commander from 1984 to 1985. Ken was a member of the Past County Commander Club and a Life member of the Lake Chautauqua Memorial VFW. He was a member of the Abbe Reformed Church and the Clymer Vol. Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy Koerselman, of Clymer, whom he married, August 10, 1974; daughters, Tina and Tara Koerselman, both of Clymer; three sisters, Lois (Ron) Legters, Lluella (Paul) Caflisch, both of

Clymer, NY and Joan Neckers, of Findley Lake, NY; brother Jerrold (Marcia) Koerselman of Clymer, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Allan Koerselman, on November 20, 2007.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday September 21, 2012 at the Abbe Reformed Church,

Clymer NY, with the Rev. John Rough, officiating. Burial will be in Holland Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the Spitzer Funeral Home, Clymer, and for 1 hour prior to the service at church on Friday.

Memorials may be made to Abbe Reformed Church, or the Clymer Vol. Fire Department.
