The two Dunkirk residents charged in the death of Frank T. Slate Jr. of Fredonia appeared in the Village of Fredonia Court on Wednesday.
A preliminary hearing was held for Christopher T. Grant and Theodore M. Wickham, both of whom are charged with second-degree manslaughter. Chautauqua County coroner Richard Mackowiak testified concerning the cause of death, a single gunshot wound.
Both suspects were remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail. The criminal case will next go to a Grand Jury.
