Foxton-Panfil Memorial Golf Tournament - The team of Scott Nordine, Kerry Murphy, Jim Azzarella Jr. and Ron Kniese shot a 12-under 60 to win the 14th Annual Foxton-Panfil Memorial Golf Tournament at the Chautauqua Golf Club.
The women's champions were captained by Barb VanDette along with Cindy Mullen, Linda DeJoe and Riannan Ellis with a 1-under par 71.
The Steenburns, Jason, April, Mark and Michelle won the couple's division with an 11-under 61.
Over $5,590 was raised for the American Cancer Society and Scholarship Fund. The CCSEA would like to thank all merchants for their continued support of this annual event.

The strong Titan offense was led by Nolan Mages and Alec Schrader who both went a perfect 3 for 3 at the plate. Derrick Walters (two doubles), Jared Kowalski (double, single) along with Tyler Winchell, Lucas Green and Trey Swartz helped scatter 13 hits on the day across every inning. Pitching duties were shared by Winchell and Walters who only let up four hits in the game.
The Academy of Stars runs were generated by Cole Murray who hit a three-run homer in the first inning and Thurman Thomas Jr. who hit his own solo shot over the fence.
The Titans remain undefeated in Fall League play and host the Rochester Thunder this week.

Apple Seed Christian Preschool 5K Run/Walk
The Apple Seed Christian Preschool will hold its 4th Annual 5K Run/Walk fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 6 at Welch Field on Third Street between Elm and Union Streets.
Registration and check-in for those pre-registered will begin at 8 a.m. and the race will begin at 9 a.m. sharp. Pre-registered participants will receive an event t-shirt. Runners, walkers and those who want to cheer them on are all welcome.
The school is actively looking for area businesses interested in sponsoring this event. If you are interested in doing so, please call the preschool phone at 326-3110.
