Immaculata Academy to hold open house
HAMBURG Potential parents and students are invited to attend Immaculata Academy's annual open house. Meet current students, faculty, coaches and recent graduates while touring the campus and learning more about Immaculata Academy. Volunteer appreciation event set for Sunday
On Sunday, St. John the Baptist (Episcopal) Church will honor parish volunteers at a volunteer appreciation event.
On this Sunday, there will be only one service at 10 a.m., with a brunch following. At the brunch, the Rev. Charles (Chuck) Wheeler will speak briefly on the importance of volunteers to the Christian Community.
The Revs. Yvonne Fancher and Helen Sam will recognize the importance of volunteering, not only to the parish but to the work of the Lord. Appreciation will be designated for the various and diverse groups of parish volunteers.
At the church service, the deceased members of the Dunkirk High School Class of 1962 will also be memorialized and remembered by name. The public is invited to attend.
Sermon to focus on blessings
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua announces that the Rev. Theresa Kime will speak on Sunday. Kime's sermon, "Offering Blessing" will explore how everyone blesses one another and how all become a blessing. Everyone is invited to attend this service.
During the service the Religious Exploration classes for children will hold their own worship service. Childcare for those less than 4 years of age will be provided.
