Robert E. Raynor

MAYVILLE Robert E. Raynor, 77, formerly of Mayville, died Monday (September 24, 2012) at Snyder Memorial Health Care Center in Marienville, PA.

He was born February 26, 1935 in Westfield, NY, the son of the late Magnus and Edna Smith Raynor.

Bob owned and operated Raynor Chrysler Plymouth in Westfield with his brother Ronald, and owned and operated Raynor Enterprises with his son Daniel.

He was a life member of the Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Club in Mayville, and a member of the Westfield-Mayville Rotary Club, Westfield Moose Club, Lakewood Rod and Gun Cub, and the Town of Chautauqua Historical Club.

Bob enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycling, traveling, and most of all his family which meant everything to him.

He is survived by his daughter, Julie (David) Treadway of Dewittville, two sons, Steven Raynor of Jamestown, and Daniel (Dee) Raynor of Mayville; six grandchildren, Emily, Elizabeth, Molly (Justin), Tricia (Norm), Nick (Angela), and Benjamin (Brittany); four great- grandchildren; a sister, Sandra (Joseph) DeJoe of Portland; and a brother, Ronald (Frances) Raynor of Mayville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnne Ames Raynor, whom he married July 11, 1953 in Mayville, and who died October 8, 2006.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Freay Funeral Home, Mayville. Lisa Stalter, Bob's niece will officiate. Burial will be in the Portland Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral, Wednesday in the funeral home.
