Timothy E. Thompson

Timothy E. Thompson, age 67, of Sheridan, NY, died unexpectedly Sunday September 23, 2012 in Westfield, MA.

Born February 24, 1945 to the late Merle Thompson and Doris Dankert Thompson, Tim attended Brocton Central Schools. A Viet Nam War Veteran, he entered the U.S. Army in October of 1968. He was the recipient of the U.S. Army Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service in the Republic of Viet Nam and was Honorably Discharged in 1969.

After being discharged from the U.S. Army, Tim married his wife Judith Gormly Thompson on Oc-tober 24, 1970. He was a Truck Driver for Red Wing and Carriage House for many years. He was employed at AIM Logistics at the time of his death. Tim especially enjoyed his Harley-Davidson motorcycle as he belonged to the National Harley- Davidson Owners Group (H.O.G.) and the Southern Tier Harley-Davidson Group. He was also a member of the Westfield Fish and Game Club, and the First United Methodist Church of Fredonia.

Besides his wife of 41 years, Judith Gormly Thompson, Tim is survived by his daughter Sara Thompson Zeller of Fredonia, daughter Kristie (Donald) Skellie, also of Fredonia, 3 granddaughters, Karlie and Abbey Skellie and Cameryn Zeller. Also survived by 2 sisters, Betty Newhouse of Mayville, NY and June (Telford) Rowe of Virginia.

Tim was predeceased by his parents, Merle and Doris (Dankert) Thompson son-in-law Roger Zeller, and brother-in-law Bernie Newhouse.

Friends and relatives may call at the LARSON-TIMKO FUNERAL HOME, 20 Central Avenue, Fredonia, Friday from 4-7p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Fredonia Presbyterian Church, 219 Central Avenue, Fredonia, NY. Interment at Webster Road Cemetery, with full Military Honors, will follow the funeral service. Arrangements by David J. Dengler.
