GOWANDA - Erleen Brooks Wilder age 83 of Rt. 353 Gowanda passed away Friday morning September 28, 2012 at the Gowanda Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Gowanda surrounded by family.
Born May 20, 1929 in Gowanda Erleen Brooks the only daughter of Earl and Myrtle (Kieser) Brooks.
Erleen married Walter C. Wilder in Cattaraugus, NY on October 31, 1947. Walter passed away August 18, 1995.

A senior accounting clerk Erleen worked for the former Gowanda Psychiatric Center and the former JN Adam Developmental Center. Prior to her State employment Erleen worked for the telephone company in Gowanda, after her state employment she worked as the Town of Persia Court Clerk, she held her Clerk position for many years.
Erleen is survived by four sons, Martin (Suzanne) Wilder of Westfield, Fredric (Cheryl) Wilder of Gowanda, Douglas (Candace Broughton) Wilder of Cattaraugus and Jonathan (Crystal) Wilder of Salamanca, 14 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren also survive along with nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband Erleen is preceded in death by brothers Robert and baby Martin Wilder.
Friends may call at the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME, 44 Center St., Gowanda (532-4200) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, September 30 where funeral services will be held Monday, October 1, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow next to husband Walter in the Park Lawn Cemetery Town of Dayton. Fr. Michael Lonto of the St. Mary's Episcopal Church Salamanca officiating.
