MAYVILLE - District Attorney David W. Foley announced the following sentences in Chautauqua County Court in front of the Honorable John T. Ward:
Shawn M. Hallmark, 29, of 3427 Straight Road, Fredonia, was sentenced to 3 1/2 to 7 years in state prison for second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument concurrent with two years in prison and one year post-release supervision for attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance in the 5th degree.
Terry L. Kendall Jr., 22, of 129 Fairview Ave., Jamestown, was sentenced to 2-6 years in state prison for third-degree burglary.
Stanley Kopczynski Jr., 23, of 2800 Route 39, Forestville, was sentenced to time served (21 days) and 5 years probation for third-degree burglary.

MAYVILLE - On Sunday, a North Collins man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, first-degree felony aggravated unlicensed operator, operation out of ignition interlock restriction, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and parking on a highway.
Around 2:20 a.m., sheriff's deputies received a report that a vehicle backed into another vehicle in the parking lot of the Lakeview Hotel in Mayville. The vehicle description was broadcast to area officers and the vehicle was located a short time later. The operator was identified as Michael F. Mooney, 58, of North Collins.
Following an investigation, Mooney was allegedly found to be intoxicated and placed under arrest for DWI. Mooney has two prior DWI convictions within the preceding 10 years, making the arrest a class D felony. Mooney's license was also revoked for his most recent DWI conviction, which resulted in an additional felony charge of first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Mooney's vehicle was not equipped with an ignition interlock device, which is in violation of a restriction.
Mooney was arraigned in the Town of Stockton Court and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail.
RIPLEY - On Sunday, a Ripley man was charged with DWI, DWI per se blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, failure to maintain lane, operating a motor vehicle while using an electronic device, and unregistered motor vehicle after a single car accident with no injuries.
Around 8 p.m., deputies responded to a single-car motor vehicle accident on Route 5 in Ripley. After investigation, it was alleged the operator of the vehicle was intoxicated. The driver, Bobby J. Fowler, 29, of Ripley, was charged with the above offenses. Fowler was released and will answer the charges in the Town of Ripley Court.
RIPLEY - On Saturday, two 17-year-old youths with warrants for their arrest were taken into custody.
Around 7 p.m., sheriff's deputies and its K-9 unit picked up two 17-year-old youths with known arrest warrants. The two were taken into custody without incident and arraigned in the Town of Ripley Court. The two were released and will answer to the charges at a later date.
Westfield Police Department
On Sunday, three individuals in Westfield were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana in two separate incidents.
Around 1:21 a.m., Westfield police stopped a vehicle for an alleged traffic infraction, During the stop, a passenger, Josh P. Northrup, 31, of Clinton Street, Westfield, was allegedly found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana. issued an appearance ticket and is to appear in Westfield Village court at a later date.
Around 4:10 a.m., Westfield police investigated an alleged suspicious vehicle parked at a local establishment on East Main Street in the Village of Westfield. During the investigation, it is alleged the officers smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A 16-year-old male and an 18-year old male, both of Erie, Pa., were each in possession of a small quantity of marijuana. Both male youths were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and are to appear in Westfield Village court at a later date.
On Saturday, a man from Erie, Pa. was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, tailgating, unsafe passing and failure to use designated lane.
Around 6:25 p.m., a Westfield police officer was on patrol on North Portage Street in the Village of Westfield. The officer allegedly observed a subject operating a motor vehicle in very close proximity to the vehicle directly in front of it. When the officer was behind said vehicle, the officer did observe the subject, later identified as Alexey Gaev, 37, of Erie, Pa., make an unsafe pass on the right of the vehicle he was tailgating.
After the vehicle was stopped and upon investigation, it was found that Gaev's privelege to operate a motor vehicle in the state of New York was allegedly suspended.
Gaev was issued traffic citations and will appear in the Village of Westfield Court at a later date.
On Saturday, three females from Erie, Pa. were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and one was also charged with failure to keep right.
Around 1:25 a.m., Westfield police stopped a vehicle operated by Jeni Ion, 19, of Erie, Pa., for an alleged traffic infraction. During the stop, it is alleged an odor of marijuana could be smelled by officers and it was found that Ion and her passengers, Brittany Malina and Larissa Will, both 19 and also of Erie, Pa., were all in possession of small quantity of marijuana. All are to appear in the Village of Westfield Court at a later date.
On Sept. 28, a Westfield man was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, move from lane unsafely and failure to keep right.
Around 10 p.m., Westfield patrolmen were dispatched to be on the lookout for a vehicle driving all over the roadway. Officers were able to locate the vehicle, which was allegedly crossing center lines and fog line of roadway. Said vehicle was operated by Travis L. Lanneaux, 25, of Westfield.
Upon further investigation, it is alleged Lanneaux's privilege to operate a motor vehicle in the state of New York was suspended. Lanneaux was issued traffic citations and is to appear in the Village of Westfield Court at a later date.
