Murder mystery set for winery Oct. 13

Ripley Free Library will hold a murder mystery, "Death is a Cabernet," Oct. 13 at the Noble Winery in Westfield. There will be audience participation. For tickets, call 736-3913.

County Land Bank Corporation meeting Oct. 10 in Jamestown

The first official meeting of the Chautauqua County Land Bank Corporation will be held Oct. 10 at 9 a.m. in the CCIDA Board Room, 200 Harrison St., James-town. This meeting is being held to discuss business associated with by-laws, certificate of incorporation, acquisition and disposition policies, and other business as required. The press, public and other stakeholders are invited to attend.

Two Fredonia roads closed until 3 p.m.

Lambert Avenue and Newton Street will be closed to all through traffic for water main work at the intersection today from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists are asked to find alternate routes.

Special discount

tickets for Buffalo Bills

The Chautauqua County United Ways announce it is possible to buy Buffalo Bills special discount tickets again. Tickets are $30 with $10 going to the United Way. They can be purchased for the Bills vs. Rams game Dec. 9. Kickoff is 1 p.m. at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

These tickets can be purchased online by using a special link. If interested call the United Way North at 366-5424, or the United Way South at 483-1561 for more information.

Erie County Clerk reminds voters of

registration deadlines

Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs is reminding residents of voter registration deadlines, and his office has Voter Registration Forms available at any of the Erie County Auto Bureaus and at the Clerk's Office located in Old County Hall at 92 Franklin St., downtown Buffalo. To be eligible to vote in the upcoming Nov. 6 elections, voters must have their completed form post-marked or hand delivered to the Erie County Board of Elections by the Oct. 12 deadline.

In order to update your registration or change your Party Affiliation, you must complete a new Voter Registration Form. Any information provided that is different from what is currently on file will be updated. Please note that a party affiliation change will not take effect until after the current year's General Election in November.
