Matteson Kempo Karate has been a presence in the community for years but has now changed the name to the Family Martial Arts Center.
Family Martial Arts Center has partnered with 10 county businesses to host a community discount card.
Tickets are available now and all proceeds will benefit the Dunkirk Rural Ministries.
The Rural Ministries feeds several families daily at the soup kitchen and provides food, clothing and establishing housing. They are a not-for-profit organization which survives through the generous donations of the community.
If you feel extra generous you may drop off personal hygiene or canned food items at 355 Central Ave. Fredonia location (center glass entrance).
The discount card is sold for only $10 and is effective for six months. The following partners have offered their discount services: Dunkin' Donuts, Gamerz haven, Family Video, Family Martial Arts Center, Schults Auto Group, SNP Auto, Copy Boy, Willow Creek Winery, Buster Brown Bean Company and Star Printed Graphix.
"I want to give a special thanks to all of the partners for bonding together with little notice and for their generosity," Sensei Bill Matteson said.
