The Dunkirk-Fredonia Meals on Wheels celebrated its agency's relocation to 200 Lake Shore Drive West in Dunkirk.
Volunteers, board members, clients, staff and friends were invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Meals on Wheels shares its building with Hometown Insurance, which is owned and operated by Susan and Ron Hall and Chadwick Bay Financial Services, which is coordinated by David Zambotti, LPL Financial adviser.
Meals on Wheels has provided over 42 years of community service and is currently delivering meals to more than 170 people who have difficulty preparing meals for themselves due to physical or mental limitations. Meals continue to be delivered in Dunkirk, Fredonia, Silver Creek, Irving, Forestville, Brocton and Portland.

Board members and volunteers of the Dunkirk-Fredonia Meals on Wheels cut the ribbon on their new location on Thursday.
The agency is very dependent on volunteers who deliver meals one day a week. There are eight volunteer routes in the Dunkirk-Fredonia area. Volunteer routes normally consist of 10 to 14 deliveries. Along with the delivery of meals, volunteers also check on a client's well being and activate emergency procedures if necessary.
If you are a volunteer or would like more information about the Meals on Wheels program, please stop by the agency's new location at 200 Lake Shore Drive West or call 366-8822.
Meals on Wheels is a United Way agency supported by the Chautauqua County Office for the Aging, long-term health care program, the emergency food and shelter program and participant donations.
