Fredonia State women's volleyball fell to eventual champion Westminster (Pa.) and to Case Western Reserve on the culminating day of the Blue Devil Invitational at Dods Hall.
The Blue Devils (10-11) lost both Saturday matches to 3-0 scores. First they fell to Westminster by set scores of 25-18, 25-15, and 25-19. Next was a 25-18, 25-13, and 25-14 loss to Case in the third-place cross-over match.

In the Westminster match, senior Lindsey Olson (Portville) was the top hitter with 8 kills to go along with 6 digs, freshman Meredith Smietana (Cheektowaga) had 7 kills and 4 blocks, freshman Lauren Hokaj (Lancaster) registered 9 digs, and freshman Kelly Edinger (Rochester) had 21 assists, 8 digs, and 3 blocks.
Olson had 10 kills, freshman Jessica DiChristopher (Buffalo) 6 kills, and Edinger 19 assists plus 9 digs against Case.
Junior outside hitter Hannah Manning (Apalachin) was selected to the all-tournament team.
Westminster rolled through the tournament with a 4-0 record, including a 3-1 (10-25, 25-12, 27-25,25-12) win over Buffalo State in the championship match.
