PERRYSBURG - The town of Perrysburg has an operational well house but is still waiting for approval from the state, the board announced at a board meeting.

"We've had a few wrinkles along the way but things are going well," Engineer Mark Alianello said.

The next phase of the project is the water treatment plant. He explained when the project first started, the town was using one project number and was given an additional project number when the town started adding items to the project.

The town of Perrysburg was given options regarding when to go out to bid for the water treatment plant. Pictured are Town Supervisor Dennis Stopen (left) and Town Clerk Tamara Utley (right).

Alianello discussed two options for a bid timeline. One was to go to bid now and start construction around Christmas. The other was to wait until February and begin construction in March.

"I don't think we'll gain anything from starting in December," Alianello said.

In either case, after the approval of the bid, Environmental Facilities Corporation must issue a notice to proceed.

Water Supervisor Robin Clark and Alianello said the town will be able to have enough water to support the town until the treatment plant is complete.

The town approved payment to J.D. Northrup for the amount of $73,817.37. The town also authorized Town Clerk Tamara Utley to enroll the town in online banking. The Versailles Fire Department has gone wireless and has a new laptop computer equipped in one of their vehicles.
