Philadelphia Brass to hold concert in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN - The Jamestown Concert Association will present the Philadelphia Brass for the opening concert of the 2012-2013 season. Philadelphia Brass consists of trumpets, French horn, trombone and tuba. From the stage of the Royal Albert Hall to the heights of the Bolivian Andes, Philadelphia Brass has delighted audiences with virtuosity and artistry seldom heard in live chamber music. The concert will be held on Oct. 12 at 8 p.m. in St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 410 N. Main St. Jamestown.

The evening's program will consist of an array of classical and popular music from Bach and Brahms to Duke Ellington.

Tickets for this concert at $20 adult and $17 senior, with at $2 discount for tickets purchased in advance. Students 18 and under are admitted free with a paid adult. Season tickets will also be available that evening. JCA's season consists of six concerts including two Symphony Syracuse concerts. A JCA membership also allows members to attend all five of Warren Concert Association's concerts.
