Chautauqua County American Legion
The September meeting of the Chautauqua County American Legion was held recently at the Fredonia Memorial Post 59 with County Commander John Miga presiding.
Various committee reports were given.
Doug Diers, director of the Chautauqua County Veterans Service Agency, was introduced. He talked about the various services this agency provides and upcoming activities for veterans. The 2012 Membership Award was presented to the John W. Rogers Post 327 of Westfield.
The next County meeting will be on Oct. 19 at the Dunkirk Memorial Post 62. This will be the annual joint meeting with the County Legion Auxiliary and Sons of the Legion.
All members are urged to attend these meetings.
