Nan A. Mancuso, 79, of Bedford, NH, died October 9, 2012, at the Arbors of Bedford, after a period of declining health.
Born in Salamanca, NY on January 20, 1933, she was the daughter of Cecil M. and Esther (Maroney) Armstrong.
Mrs. Mancuso graduated from Salamanca High School. She earned a bachelor of arts degree and a masters degree in music education from the State University of New York at Potsdam.

In her early years, Mrs. Mancuso was an instrumental music teacher in the Kenmore-Town of Tonanwanda, NY, School District. Until her retirement in 1992, and after twenty years of service, she was the chairperson of the Fine Arts Department in the Washington School District, Washington, NJ.
She was a longtime member of the Shawnee Choir, a recording group for Shawnee Press of Delaware Water Gap, PA. She was also a member of the Music Educators National Conference.
She was a communicant of Saint Elizabeth Seton Church.
Mrs. Mancuso will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whose family and music were the center of her life.
Family members include her husband of fifty-four years, Dr. Charles S. Mancuso of Bedford, her son, Patrick C. Mancuso and his wife, Marjorie, of Center Tuftonboro; two grandchildren, Christopher and Cecilia; two sisters, Judith Marafino of Tonanwanda, NY and Sally Conerton of Long Beach, CA; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services: Calling hours are Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, corner of Concord Street, Manchester.
The funeral will be held Saturday with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Saint Elizabeth Seton Church, Bedford.
Burial will take place in the Saint Joseph Cemetery, Bedford, NH.
