It is an open invitation for city of Dunkirk residents this morning.
Mayor A.J. Dolce announced Thursday that today's 2013 Dunkirk budget proposal will be open to all who wish to attend.
"I decided to make it a public event," said Dolce, who put together his first city spending plan since taking office in January. He said the budget will include a property tax increase as well as a water rate hike.
Residents wishing to attend the event should head to the Mayor's Conference Room located on the second-floor of City Hall. The event begins at 11 a.m. and the mayor will take questions from both media representatives as well as residents.
The city budget for this year was more than $21.5 million.
