.....Molly Jade Helper, infant daughter of Patrick and Lauren McNinney Helper of West Seneca, was baptized recently at St. Martin of Tours RC Church in South Buffalo. Molly is the granddaughter of Deacon and Mrs. Matthew (Mary Jane) Hens of Fredonia, Mark McNinney of Christiansburg, Va., and Mr. and Mrs. John (Debbie) Helper of Lancaster. Deacon Hens officiated the Baptismal rite for his granddaughter. The infant wore the heirloom Christening gown which had previously been worn by her maternal grandmother, mother, godmother and sister, Ella Helper. Her godparents are her aunts Maria Hens of Fredonia and Mary Helper Lista of Lancaster. Following the ceremony, a party was held at the Helper residence. Guests attended from the Western New York area, Boston and Las Vegas.....

.....Elaine Muccigrosso Grohol, daughter of Louise Muccigrosso Crolle of Forestville and the late Francis P. Muccigrosso, was selected as the Just Read! Florida District Reading Leader of the Year for 2012. The Florida Department of Education selects one educator following a comprehensive selection process. Statewide finalists and winners are chosen from district nominations based on their commitment to literacy and their proven ability to promote and teach others about the fundamental skill of reading. Grohol is a alumna of Silver Creek Central and SUNY Fredonia.....
