October is Fire Prevention Month. The kindergarten classes at Dunkirk School 7 enjoyed a visit from the local fire department. The firemen provided a lesson on how to get out of the house safely, stop-drop-roll, and the importance of changing the batteries in smoke detectors. The children also enjoyed a visit from Sparky; the friendly dalmatian helped the children review the fire safety tips learned. The school appreciates the local fire department’s involvement each year.
