Caroline E. (Kuhn) Sosinski

WESTFIELD - Caroline E. (Kuhn) Sosinski, age 84, of East Route 20, Westfield, formerly of Dunkirk, NY, died Thursday evening, October 18, 2012 at Westfield Memorial Hospital in Westfield, NY.

Caroline was born on March 20, 1928 in Portville, NY the daughter of the late Maynard and Mamie (Cleveland) Kuhn.

Caroline was a stay-at-home mom until age 57, when she went to work for Mac McCoy in the office for the aging in Mayville until her retirement at age 70. She was a member of West Portland Baptist Church where she was active in church activities. Caroline was an avid quilter who made many quilts as gifts for each member of her family. She enjoyed reading and crocheting, and was a proud member of the Blue Star Mothers.

Survivors include her three daughters: Janice (Steve) Zeyak of Westfield, NY, Phyllis (Luke) Matteson of Fredonia, NY, Sandra (Michael) Barras of Dunkirk, NY and her son: Stanley E. (Sandra) Sosinski of Henderson, Arkansas.

Caroline was the proud grandmother of Michelle (Jeremy) Bouton of Kenmore, Lisa Allnatt of Fredonia, Catherine Petersen of Dunkirk, Michael Barras, Jr. of OH, and great grand-mother of Nicholas and Carson Finn of Kenmore, NY, and Brooklyn Allnatt of Fredonia.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Wilma Koczwara.

Friends may call at the West Portland Baptist Church, 7081 West Main Road, Westfield, NY on Monday, October 22, 2012 from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. with Rev. Gary Henry officiating. Burial will be private in Portland Evergreen Cemetery.
