FORESTVILLE - A six-month village trustee says things have gone from bad to worse since her term began in April.
In a letter to the editor, published today, Linda Aures says fellow Village Board members are working against her - and possibly had her investigated by the county Sheriff's Department - while the village has faced audits, resignations as well as a lack of leadership.

Trustee Linda Aures is frustrated over Forestville.
"I ran for the office of trustee in the village of Forestville because of my care and concern for my community and my belief that there should be accountability," Aures writes. "As I began to do the job I promised I would do and ask the questions that needed to be asked, I have encountered many road blocks.
"I have been rewarded for my efforts to serve my fellow citizens and taxpayers with being ignored, maligned, threatened and mistreated. In past weeks alone I was not given a head's up regarding the special meeting (later canceled), the resignation of Supervisor William Bentzoni or the resignation of Mayor Charles Brewster. "
The village has been advertising the position of street and water supervisor and may select a mayor in the coming weeks.
The next scheduled Forestville Village Board meeting is later this month, however, there was some discussion on Saturday of a possible emergency meeting sometime today. Forestville officials, however, did not notify this newspaper of any possible meeting.
