Jean Beverly (Kinney) Thompson, 81, went to be with the Lord, passing peacefully at home sur-rounded by family Sunday, October 21, 2012. Jean was born February 26, 1931 in Cooperstown, NY to Hiram and Maude Kinney. As a loving and dedicated mother and wife she raised 7 children with her husband of 63 years, Kenneth. She is survived by her children: Steven (Barb),
Wayne (Jan), Denise (Larry) Morrison, Mark (Gail), Debra (Lucky) Hobson, David, Scott (Susan), 21 grandchildren and 36 great
grandchildren and her brother Orville Carrier. She served as deaconess for many years at the Hunt Baptist Church and most
recently the Brocton Baptist Church. She was an avid crocheter and was well know for creating lots of baby blanket sets for everyone's children as well as lap robs for hospitalized veterans. Beside her parents and husband Jean, was predeceased by her sisters Ester Law and Evelyn Dewar. At the request of Jean, there will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Brocton Baptist Church, 35 West Main St., Brocton, NY on Thursday, October 25, at 11 a.m.
