The Sherman/Ripley Wild Eagles outscored Bemis Point Dragons to win the Lakeshore Midget football championship Saturday. Although the Dragons came into the playoffs with a perfect record and being the only team to beat the Eagles in regular season play, the Wild Eagles were determined to take home the trophy and managed to stay ahead of them for the entire game. This is the first championship win for coach Bill Delcamp in the 13 years of his Lake Shore coaching career.

The fee is $20 for the first player in a family, $15 for the second and $10 for the third. ($45 max. per family). Scholarship assistance is available.

Help with yard work and odd jobs

Westfield residents needing help with yard work and odd jobs are asked to call the Westfield Recreation Department at 326-4243 and we will assist in arranging for a local teen to help.
