Crandall leads Fredonia to victory

Maddie Crandall's 11 assists, four kills and eight digs led the Fredonia Lady Hillbillies (1-11, 3-15) to a 15-25, 26-24, 25-15, 25-22 victory over Cassadaga Valley (4-8, 5-10) on Monday in non-league girls' high school volleyball action.

Nicole Szymczak added 10 digs, one kill and as many aces while Makenzie Tarnowki contributed in the win with three kills and five aces. Emily Ludwig charted five kills and two blocks and Margaret Wright finished with four kills and five digs for the Lady Hillbillies.

The Lady Cougars were led by Maya Sischo's 15 assists. Shawana Miller charted eight kills and Brita Howe had four kills in a losing effort.

Maple Grove 24 25 14 21

Lacey Clark recorded 20 assists, five digs and four kills as Dunkirk (2-10, 8-10) prevailed over Maple Grove (3-7, 6-13), 26-24, 15-25, 25-14, 25-21, in non-league girls volleyball Monday night.

Alexis Clark had nine aces, six blocks, four digs and three kills, LaShonda Moreland four digs, four kills, three aces and two assists, Khee Nance 13 kills, five aces and four digs and Sarah Hanlon 11 kills and seven digs for Dunkirk.

For Maple Grove, Jessie Babbage delivered six kills, 11 digs and three aces, Sierra Spencer 11 assists and eight digs, Nickara Liddell six kills, 15 digs and two aces, and Taylor Satalino six kills, 27 digs and four aces.

Maple Grove took the junior varsity match.
