It was more than a volleyball game.
Girls teams from Silver Creek and Forestville teamed up again in an effort to raise awareness and funds in the third annual "Spike Out Cancer" event. And while Forestville took the match, everyone who participated was a winner.
"We had a great turnout again," Forestville Coach Jack Dugan said. "It's a beautiful night. Hopefully we raised a lot of money for the fight against cancer."
Early indications are the event raised about $4,000. That's a special night - and a job well done by all.
