Red Ribbon Week activity

October 24, 2012
The OBSERVER

Students from Annette Morgan's first-grade class hold bulbs that will bloom next year as red tulips. In the back is School 4 principal Kimberlee Texter who explained to the children how to place the bulbs into the ground and gave them cups of soil to place over the tulips. All classes at School 4 participated. The school planted 250 red tulips by the end of the day. The planting is part of Red Ribbon Week activities at the school. Tulips are perennials and will remind students each year to stay drug-free.
