Mueller to be at Demetri's on Saturday

Dr. Rudy Mueller, candidate for the NYS Assembly 150th District, will be at De-metri's on the Lake for breakfast with Mayor AJ Dolce Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Those who want to meet Mueller or Dolce or have questions for them can come by their table and say hello.

Swiss Steak Dinner

A Swiss Steak Dinner at Dunkirk American Legion Memorial Post 62, 211 Central Ave., will be held Nov. 3 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are available at the Legion at $8, or $10 at the door. Dinner includes swiss steak, mashed potato, vegetable, tossed salad and dessert. The event is sponsored by the Unit 62 Ladies Auxiliary.

County IDA to meet

The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency Board of Directors will meet Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the board room, CCIDA, 200 Harrison St., James-town. A meeting of the Chautauqua Region Indus-trial Development Corpora-tion Board of Directors will immediately follow the CCIDA meeting in the same location. A meeting of the Chautauqua County Capital Resource Corporation Board of Director will immediately follow the CRIDC meeting, also in the same location.

JCC's Human Services Professional Day Nov. 16

Creative problem solving and collaborative partnerships are among the topics presented during Human Services Professional Day at Jamestown Community Col-lege's Jamestown Campus.

The Nov. 16 program, featuring four sessions designed for individuals who work in human services agencies, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The $69 registration includes lunch. To register, call JCC, 338-1005.

Elizabeth Cippolla will present an interactive session on using humor in the workplace to manage stress and improve morale. She will also lead participants on an exploration of how change can affect and benefit an organization.

Other presentations include creative problem solving by Jane Fischer, making the most of collaborations by Candy Huber and Lori Fabritius, and using social media to communicate by Jean McGowan.
