Christopher A. Denea, 26, of Route 438 was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest on Oct. 14. At 11 p.m. police responded to a Jamestown Street residence for the report of a violent domestic incident. Patrol was informed Denea, who appeared intoxicated, had been involved in an argument with a female acquaintance which reportedly escalated into a physical incident with Denea slapping the female in the face numerous times. Denea allegedly also intentionally damaged door windows, doors and doorframes at the residence. He became aggressive towards police and attempted to fight them. Denea was arrested and taken to Erie County Medical Center for his injuries. He was arraigned in the Town of Persia Court upon release from ECMC. He was released on his own recognizance. The New York State Police and the Erie County Sheriff's Department assisted with this arrest.
Colin M. Lanthier, 49, of Buffalo was charged with operating without headlights and driving while intoxicated on Oct. 17. Police observed Lanthier operating a vehicle on Buffalo Street at 2:30 a.m. with no headlights. Lanthier, when stopped exhibited signs of intoxication and failed several sobriety checks. A chemical breath test resulted in a BAC of .09. He was released on an appearance ticket for the Town of Collins Court. The New York State Police assisted with this arrest.
Jeffrey C. Brant, 30, of Collins was charged with disorderly conduct on Oct. 21. At 5:39 p.m. while investigating a larceny complaint on Union Street, Brant reportedly came up to police and became belligerent and aggressive towards police. Brant began to yell profanities and then aggressively challenged police. Brant was released on an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Collins court. The New York State Police assisted with this arrest.
