FORESTVILLE - Frances S. Griffith, 77, of Prospect Street Forestville, died peacefully, Sunday (Oct. 28, 2012) surrounded by her loving family, at her residence. She was born in Buffalo, on Sept. 13, 1935, the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Nowyrta) Waligora, Sr.
Mrs. Griffith was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1953, and worked as an Office Manager for the former Carnation, South Dayton, retiring after 20 years of service. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima RC Church, Forestville, an active member of the St. Rose Society, a member of the Kosciuszko Club, and the Dom Polski Club, both of Dunkirk. She never missed an Alumni Banquet at Forestville Central School, was an avid Buffalo Bills Fan and enjoyed gardening and baking. Mrs. Griffith especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Richard J. Griffith, Sr. of Forestville; a son, Richard J. (Elizabeth) Griffith, Jr., of Fredonia; two step daughters: Rhonda (Craig) LaCorata, of Fort Mill, SC, Monica (John) Rehm, of Lake Wylie, NC; a sister, Rose Troutman, of Forest-ville; two brothers: Walter Waligora, of Forestville and Robert Waligora, of Dunkirk. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Emily, Alexandra and AnnMarie Griffith, Carrina & Ga-brielle LaCorata and Lauren and Samantha Rehm and several nieces & nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by six sisters: Genevieve Waligora, Lottie Waligora, Julie Gajewski, Emily Lodyga, Jane Waligora, Mary Press and by three brothers, Henry Waligora, Jr., Bronislaus Wali-gora and Casimer Waligora.

Friends are welcome to call at the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., from where Prayer Services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock followed by a Mass of Christian Burial from St. Rose of Lima RC Church, Center Street, Forestville, at 11 o'clock, with Rev. Daniel F. Fiebelkorn, pastor officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Forestville Cemetery Forestville.
