The Chautauqua County Rural Ministry, 127 Central Ave. in Dunkirk, will be accepting applications for Thanksgiving holiday baskets today, Friday, Monday and Tuesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and 1 to 2:30 p.m. Applicants need to bring proof of income, proof of residence and Social Security cards for all family members.
CCRM is able to distribute baskets to needy families due to individual contributions, UW of NCC, NYSDOH, church and civic organizations, Episcopal Community Services and private donations.
A traditional Thanksgiving meal will be served on Thanksgiving Day, noon to 2 p.m. Volunteers will prepare and serve the meal.
CCRM is grateful to everyone who helps a less fortunate family during the season of giving thanks. To donate, items can be dropped off at CCRM offices by Nov. 16. CCRM office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
