James E. "Jim" Ellis, age 71, of Fredonia, NY, died Wednesday October 31, 2012 at his home after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born May 7, 1941 in West Seneca, NY to the late Theodore and Loretta (Karg) Ellis, Jim attended West Seneca schools and graduated from West Seneca High School. On May 1, 1965 Jim married his wife Cesia M. (Pelczar) Ellis. Residents of the Fredonia area for 43 years, Jim and Cesia raised their three children here.
Mr. Ellis worked for FMC in Canada, also Kraft Foods and retired from Ralston-Purina as a Maintenance Supervisor after 30 years of employment there.

An avid outdoorsman, Jim enjoyed farming and hunting. He especially enjoyed his family and good conversation with his many friends.
Besides his wife of 47 years, Cesia, Jim is survived by his three children: Scott Ellis (Jonna), Brian Ellis (LuAnn) and Michele Ellis-Harrington (Jesse). Five grandchildren: Hannah Ellis, Drew Ellis, Andrew Ellis, Christopher Ellis, and Wyatt Harrington. Also two sisters: Marylyn Pinnavaia (Tom) and Carol Bruce (Lyn); two brothers, Paul Ellis (Karen) and Ted Ellis (Barb) and many loving nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Mr. Ellis was predeceased by his twin brother, John "Jack" Ellis (Diane).
Friends and relatives may call today 7-9 p.m. and Fri-day 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Larson-Timko Funeral Home, 20 Central Avenue (679-9000) Fredonia, where prayers will be offered Saturday morning at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony's Church, Fredonia at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
