Jacob Lapp, 86, of Cassadaga passed away peacefully at home Sunday November 4, 2012.
Born October 25, 1926 in Lancaster County, Pa., he resided with his family in Cassadaga, NY.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, who died in May, 2003.

His three sons and nine daughters survive him: Rebecca (Dennis) Cimo, Amos (Rebecca) Lapp, Lydia Lapp, Drusilla (Peter) Gonzalez, Nancy Torres, Lavina (Tony) Balona, Chris Lapp, Barbara Lyn (Mauricio) Espinoza, Rachel (Harry) Kellogg, Hannah Lapp, Susanna Lapp, Nathan (Marci) Lapp.
Also surviving are 29 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, and three sisters: Hannah King, Susie Stoltzfus, Rebecca Stoltzfus.
True to his lifelong belief in simplicity, Dad requested his death arrangements be carried out in a practical and economical way.
A private burial will take place at the Charlotte Center Cemetery.
The family would like to welcome friends and acquaintances to the home of Tony and Lavina Balona, 7796 Barnum Road, Cassadaga on Saturday November 10 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM.
