The OBSERVER

Shawn Curtis Sischo, 39, of 4594 Centralia-Hartfield Road, Dewittville, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, in the Chautauqua County Home after a long, brave battle with brain cancer.

He was born Dec. 16, 1972, the son of Gail Sischo of Knoxville, Tenn., and Candias Cannon Nelson and Gerry Nelson of Hohenwald, Tenn.

He was a 1991 graduate of Falconer High School, where he was a super awe-some artistic wrestler.

Shawn was an unpaid professional fly fisherman who was burdened with the responsibility of being a

master masonry craftsman.

When he was not fishing or showing off his masonry talents, he enjoyed spending time with his family, archery hunting, golfing, playing guitar, writing music, and watching M*A*S*H*.

He coached and ran Chautauqua Chaos girls travel softball and was the assistant coach for Cassadaga Valley girls' varsity softball. There was nothing he loved more than spending time with "his girls" on the field. ("NTTS!")

Surviving besides his parents are his wife ("Moon Babe" or "AnimalMarie") AnnaMarie Guarnieri Sischo;

his beautiful children: Maya Elizabeth ("Squirrel-Dog" or "Sweepins") Margret Katherine Mae ("Chipmunk" or

"Megatron"), and his "other daughter" Kelcie Sue Brown ("Freckles" or "Honyock").

Also surviving is his mother-in-law, Debbie "Shaw" Guarnieri (Kenny Kawski); brother, Jeremy Nelson (Starla Colson) of Shippensburg, Pa.; and his sisters: Jessica Chaney (Tim) of Dalton, Ga., Nicole Deaton of Indianapolis, Ind., Ebony McGill (Kenneth) of Weston, W.Va., and Charli Sischo of Buckhannon, W.Va.; and

Genevieve and Carl VanZile of Forestville, N.Y. As well as many more loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and

friends, including various, assorted cats (with which tensions were high) and two dogs, Henry and Riley,

whose nicknames were too many to count.

A celebration of life dinner will be held at the Stockton Fire Hall this Saturday. Friends can come anytime between 4 and 7 p.m. Dress is casual, and if you have any questions or would like to bring a dish, contact Marian "Amber" Johnson at 785-0314.
