An elderly Fredonia man has been charged with four counts of sexual abuse and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
Fredonia Police and the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office allege Arnold D. Blakely, 77, of One Temple Square in Fredonia, sexually abused a 4-year-old fe-male in the Town of Sheridan and the Village of Fredonia after separate reports.
A joint investigation was conducted between the two agencies and Chautauqua County Child Protective Services, the District Attor-ney's office, and the Child Advocacy Program of Chau-tauqua County.
After the investigation was concluded, police allege the abuse took place in the Town of Sheridan.
Blakely and his counsel met sheriff's investigators and an assistant district attorney in the Town of Sheridan Court on Tuesday, where he was arraigned by Justice Lydia Romer on the charges.
Blakely posted a bail bond in the sum of $20,000 cash/$40,000 property.
