Cable Hollow Golf Course

Wednesday Travel League - Gary Richardson heated up the course following a frost delay to shoot the low round of 81 at Cable Hollow Golf Course in Russell, Pa. Richardson was low on both the front (41) and back (40) nines. Paul Olkowski finished second. The B Flight winner was Ed Tofil and Pat Weaver won the C Flight. Taking home the Commissioner's Award was Doug Newman.

Untied birdies were recorded by Olkowski (Nos. 1 & 18), Bob Thompson (No. 3), Dave Franklin (No. 8) and Richardson (Nos. 12 & 16). Thompson was closest to the pin on Nos. 2 & 11. Top point winners were Thompson (18), Richardson (11) and Olkowski (7). Season points leaders: 1) Richardson (432), 2) Ron Rys (415), 3) John Bongiovanni (377.5), 4) Tofil (339), 5) Thompson (308).

NCCYHA opened its season with a win. Leading the offense was Ethan Brunner with a hat trick. Also chipping in with a goal apiece were Zachary Korzeniewski, Austin Rott and Gabe Schrader. Korzeniewski also added an assist.

Lauren Marshall and Cooper Harris played outstanding defense with several key saves in a very close game. Jack Swanson was the winning goalie.

DHS Fall Sports Awards

Dunkirk High School Fall Sports Award Night will be held Thursday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. in the Dunkirk High School Auditorium.

All athletes, coaches and families are asked to attend. Light refreshments will follow program.

Bills Booster Club

The Southern Tier Bills Booster Club will watch the Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots game on Sunday at the Dunkirk Falcon Club. Barbecued hamburgers will be provided at halftime. A dish to pass is optional.
