Cops, kids and Christmas clothing and toy drive to be held
The Gowanda Police Department Police Benevolent Association will sponsor the Cops, Kids and Christmas Clothing and Toy Drive as well as the Christmas Decoration Drive. Donations are being accepted to share warmth and joy with families struggling financially through these tough economic times in the Gowanda Central School District. Donations sought include, new toys, clothing, gift certificates and decorations. Donations can be dropped off at the Gowanda Police Department, 27 E. Main St., Gowanda; Gowanda Central Schools Main Office in Middle and High schools; and the School Resource Officer's office in the Gowanda Elementary School. Community meetings set regarding merger study
Community Focus Group meetings will be held for the public to learn about the merger study being conducted and to respond to questions posed.
The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Brocton Central School Auditorium and 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, at the Westfield Academy Central School Auditorium.
Residents are asked to attend the meeting in their own school district.
