SILVER CREEK - Harry L. Sutton, 84, of Silver Creek, NY passed away on Sunday (Nov. 11, 2012) at his residence.
Born in Saltsburg, Pa., on June 20, 1928, he was the son of the late Harry W. and Hazel (Peace) Sutton.
Harry served in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of corporal. He was honorably discharged on June 12, 1952. A member of the Silver Lodge #757 F&AM of Silver Creek, he was a former member and past master of the Dunkirk-Irondequoit Lodge #301 F&AM. He also belonged to the Silver Creek Loyal Order of the Moose.

Harry retired from Bethlehem Steel in Buffalo, NY with over 20 years of service. He was employed by the Silver Creek School District as a bus driver for 27 years, retiring at age 79.
He enjoyed square dancing, and to Harry, everybody was a potential friend and he loved to meet people.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathleen Tamutis of Buffalo, Cynthia (Don) Wisniewski of Erie, Pa., Martha (Tom) Colder of Waldorf, Md.; five sons, Henry (Patty) Bertino of Silver Creek, Richard Bertino of Las Vegas, Dennis Bertino of Irving, NY, Dale Bertino of Brocton, NY and Thomas (Pam) Bertino of Silver Creek; a sister, Irene Kelly of Saltsburg, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, William R. Sutton; and two wives, Cecilia Sutton and Shirley A. (Britt) Sutton.
Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Avenue Silver Creek today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where a funeral service will be held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock with Rev. Michael Leamon officiating. Interment to follow in Evergreen Lawn Cemetery. Masonic Services will be conducted in the funeral home by members of Silver Lodge #757 F&AM this evening at 7 o'clock.
