.....Carin Pracht of Gowanda was inducted into Ithaca College's Oracle Honor Society in November. Pracht is a health care management major in the college's School of Health Sciences and Human Performance.
First-year students who maintain a GPA that puts them in the top 10 percent of all students in their school throughout their first full academic year are invited into the society.....A daughter, Julia Teresa Luna, was born on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, to Ron and Erin (Kolodziej) Luna of Colorado Springs, Colo. Julia was born at St. Francis Medical Center in Colorado Springs, weighing 6 lbs., 15 oz. Julia joins her 7-year-old big brother, David, at home. Erin is the daughter of Ed and Kathy Kolodziej of Dunkirk.....
.....A daughter, Claire Isabel, was born Sept. 2, 2012 to Dr. Kevin and Melissa (Feser) Krul, of Kailua, Hawaii. Captain Kevin Krul, M.D., an orthopedic surgery resident in the United States Army, is currently stationed at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu. Claire is the first child of the Krul family and the first grandchild of Al and Melony Feser of Dunkirk. She is also welcomed by great-grandparents Casimir and Kathy Krul of Lehigh Acres, Fla. Great-grandmothers are Joyce Blodgett of Dunkirk and Margaret Ottgen of Lehigh Acres.....
.....Genesee/Wyoming County Music Educators have announced that Kyra Stella of Batavia is one of 38 participants statewide to perform at three all-state festivals this fall. Kyra, who is representing St. Joseph's School, is the granddaughter of Ken and Linda Miller of Forestville and David Smith of Cassadaga.....
