Boil water order lifted

FORESTVILLE - The Chautauqua County Health Department has lifted the boil water order issued for the village.

According to the department, follow-up water samples collected from the village water system have shown that the water does not contain potentially harmful bacteria and is safe for drinking and cooking.

The village began its boil-water order on Wednesday. Residents seeking additional information, should contact Mayor Beth Bowker of the village at 965-2514.
