Twenty years ago - 1992
Student of the Week is Jessica DiPalma, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip DiPalma of Newton Street, Silver Creek. A senior at Silver Creek High School, she is in the upper seven percent of the graduating class. Jessica is Student Council president and vice president of the National Honor Society. Musically inclined, she participates in chorus and band. Jessica was recently chosen to compete for the DAR Good Citizenship Award. Following graduation, she plans to enroll in a four-year college.

The selection committee of the Associated Arts Organizations of New York State Inc., has chosen an acrylic abstraction by Jeanne Gaudia of Fredonia for inclusion in its second annual exhibition on display in the Wilcox Mansion in Buffalo. The work is titled, "About Violet."
