The OBSERVER

WESTFIELD - The Octagon Gallery at Westfield's Patterson Library will exhibit Westfield Art Teachers Past and Present, featuring the work of Alan Koch, Joseph Koshute, Edward Reed, Geri Beers, Inta Damcott, and Doug Kaltenbach, from Nov. 30 to Dec. 28. The opening reception will be held Nov. 30 from 7 to 9 p.m.

This exhibit will share works of art by six teachers of the Westfield Academy and Central School, from 1950-2012. The exhibit includes three current instructors and three past instructors.

Gallery Curator Nancy Ensign says, "We are so pleased to present the exhibition of these treasured teachers who have inspired generations of artistic talent and art appreciation. Now more than ever, it is important that we support the arts in our schools. Please come and show your support for these great instructors of our past and present youth."
