Sheila Spencer Kuehn, age 79, died Sept. 27, 2012 at her home in Phoenix, Ariz., after an extended illness. The daughter of Earl F. Spencer and Margaret Maloney Spencer, she was born in Dunkirk on Aug. 8, 1933.
Sheila graduated from Dunkirk High School in 1951 and had worked at the NY Telephone Company in Dunkirk before her marriage in 1955 to Robert J. Kuehn of Dunkirk, who predeceased her in 1983. Before her move to Phoenix in 1991, she had been a real estate broker in California for many years.
Sheila is survived by two sons, Robert J. Kuehn Jr. and Mark W. Kuehn, both of Phoenix; three brothers, David (Anne) Spencer and Jerome (Janice) Spencer, both of Fredonia, and John (Althea) Spencer of Dunkirk; and her sister-in-law Carm P. Kuehn of Dunkirk. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Earl F. Spencer Jr.; and her aunt and uncle, Mae Spencer Crane and James Crane of Dunkirk.
Services will be private at a later date at the request of the family.
