HOUGHTON - The Fredonia State men's basketball team downed Houghton College, 61-39, on Tuesday. It was the Devils' third win in the past four games as they improved to 4-3 on the season.

Elliot Rogers led the Devils with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Amir Billups had 12 points and Joe Monahan had 11. Robert Lyles had 4 assists.

Chris Confer and Mark O'Brien led the Highlanders with 10 points apiece. Houghton falls to 0-5.

The Devils led the entire game except for the first minute. Their biggest lead of the half came at the break following a 10-2 run to give them a 28-18 lead.

The Devils outscored Houghton 33-21 in the second half. The stingy Devil defense pressured Houghton into just 32-percent shooting from the field for the game.

The Devils are on the road this weekend. They travel to the North Country to take on SUNYAC foes Plattsburgh and Potsdam.
