MAYVILLE - Jenna Einink did it all, offensively and defensively, Tuesday in leading the Chautauqua Lake Lady Thunderbirds to a 44-28 victory over Silver Creek in a girls non-league basketball game.
Einink scored a team-high 18 points and recorded 14 steals to lead the way. She had 10 of the team's 18 first-half points to take a slim 18-17 edge into halftime.
Meanwhile, Silver Creek's Jordan Brooks was the lone bright spot offensively as she scored 20 of her team's 28 points.
"We were going to front her and get help on the back side," Chautauqua Lake coach Eric Schuster explained. "But she is tough. I don't care if you box her out with two people, she controls the boards."
The Lady Thunderbirds used a 13-4 third-quarter run to put the game out of reach.
Brooks also had 11 rebounds and five blocks.
Einink was a rebound away from a triple-double as she pulled down nine boards.
