Cookie Walk set for Dec. 15
The Dewittville-Hartfield United Methodist Church hosts its annual Cookie Walk Saturday, Dec. 15. Hours are 9 a.m. to noon, unless sold out before noon. Walk the cookie table and choose your favorites for your holiday table or a tasty gift. Cookies are $4 per dozen or six dozen for $23. The church is located on Route 430 at Meadows Road in Dewittville.
Church to hold free community meal
GOWANDA - Trinity United Church of Christ, located at 30 Erie Ave. in Gowanda, will hold a free community meal Saturday, Dec. 22, from 4 to 6 p.m. On the menu is ham, macaroni and cheese, peas, rolls and dessert. There will also be a storyteller. All are welcome to come for a meal and some fellowship. The church is handicap accessible from Erie Avenue.
Sheridan church plans Christmas cantata
SHERIDAN - Sheridan United Methodist Church will hold a Christmas cantata, "Silent Night! Holy Night!" on Sunday at 6 p.m. All are welcome to hear the Christmas message told through traditional carols and new, poignant compositions. The director of the cantata will be Jeannine Van Wey, Sheridan UMC's choir director and organist.
A cookie reception, hosted by the United Methodist Women, will follow the performance. Admission is free and all are invited. The church is located at 2679 Route 20 in Sheridan. Call 672-2048 for information.
