Grant R. Borst of Homosassa, FL died December 3, 2012 in Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL.
He was born in 1944 to Norma and Bill Borst in Syracuse, NY.
Grant taught ages preschool through adults at BOCES in Fredonia during his 32-year teaching career. He retired in 2000. After retiring, he spent time volunteering, socializing, building, and farming.
Grant's generous and kind spirit endeared him to all who knew and met him. His family is asking if you want to honor Grant in any way, practice any random act of kindness. He was filled with love and never hesitated to help someone in need or listen to some-one who wanted to talk. Another way to honor Grant is to give to your lo-cal Salvation Army. Grant's life was changed by attending Salvation Army camp as a boy and he had a deep faith in God.
Grant leaves behind his beloved wife Lynne (Penfold) Borst, daughters Jennifer (Sean) Burke and Suzanna Borst, and a favorite granddaughter Marin Burke.
A private funeral will be held at a later date.
