December 13, 2012

A repetitive date won't happen again for the rest of the century, but for one Silver Creek girl 12-12-12 is even more special. Alexa Urbanik celebrated her 12th birthday on the unique date. Alexa's mother Joanna and father Steve Urbanik threw their daughter a party with more than 75 of Alexa's friends invited at the Backline Teen Dance Club. Alexa is an honor roll student at Silver Creek school and is involved in student council, the yearbook club, the school newspaper, soccer and plays saxophone in the school band and the Junior Jazzers. Alexa is also involved in the community and has volunteered for charitable events such as the Laurel Run. "She always put others before herself and we are so very proud of her," Joanna said. Alexa is pictured front and center with her friends and the band Imortal which performed at the party.
